At Otaku Library, I collect your username, email address, and anime list preferences to provide a personalized experience. Your email is used for account security and recovery purposes.

2. Password Security

I take security seriously. All passwords are encrypted using bcrypt hashing technology before being stored. I never store plain-text passwords, ensuring that your credentials remain secure even in the event of unauthorized access.

3. Cookies and Session Management

I use server-side sessions stored in my PostgreSQL database. A small session cookie (connect.sid) is placed in your browser to keep you logged in. This cookie contains no personal information and is strictly for technical functionality.

4. Account Deletion (Cascade Delete)

You have the right to delete your account at any time. When you use the "Permanently delete account" feature, our system performs a CASCADE delete, which instantly and permanently removes your profile, email, and all associated anime lists from my database.

5. Data Sharing

I do not share, sell, or trade your personal data with any third parties. Your information is used exclusively for the operations of the Otaku Library.
